What is the difference between the regular computer classrooms and the active learning rooms?

Answer

The regular computer classrooms have a traditional classroom set up with only one screen in front of the room, and they are equipped with desktop computers, which don't require extra time to set up. These can be reserved by the Library.

The active learning classrooms are equipped with movable chairs and laptops as well as multiple smart screens, all of which promote group work. However, students must remove and replace laptops from the charging stations and this takes a little extra time. It is up to faculty to request these classrooms by e-mailing schedule@ccny.cuny.edu. The Library cannot schedule these classrooms.
